I would like to make a short clarification of such ideas as

Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and Hatha Yoga.

The word YOGA means union...a union of absolutely everything on this earth and in the whole universe..

No light can exist without dark,

no planet can exist without the Universe, no shape can exist without the space around it, no creature can exist without all the other creatures, no man can exist without a woman, no person can exist without body, mind and spirit...

All is unity, all is interconnected and interdependent, all is the cause and the consequence. All is one...

Ashtanga (or Raja) Yoga is a whole life system (philosophy) helping us to become aware of this Unity, to become free of the mental and physical boundaries.

It includes 8 levels of practice dealing with different aspects of our life.

The 8 levels of practice concern our behavior, our life style, our body, meditation and breathing, relaxation of the body and mind, concentration, and finally reaching the awareness of oneness of the existence.

HaTha Yoga concerns to a part of Ashtanga yoga system and includes Yogasanas (physical postures), meditation and special breathing techniques.

Please consider that it's nothing about perfect implementation of any posture.. the point is to balance the energies in our body (sun and moon energies), making it stronger and healthier, preparing ourselves to reach higher counciousness.
